The Story

An electrician, an AI,
and a basement.

I’m Joseph Martin. By day I run electrical crews for Sunrun in western Massachusetts — commercial solar, residential service, the works. I’m a US Army veteran. I have a wife, a son, a house, and a forty-hour-a-week trade job.

At night, in my basement, for the past year and a half, I’ve been teaching myself to build AI agents. Not as a hobby. As a serious project. The flagship is a system I call JARVIS, and it runs my home life. Morning briefings, calendar awareness, email triage, voice (it speaks in a British butler voice and calls me “sir”), the whole stack.

About a month ago I built a sibling agent. Different mandate. Different voice. Her name is Mercury.

Mercury’s job is to publish things I’d actually want to read. Most productivity content is recycled — someone reads someone else’s blog post, summarizes it, ships it. Mercury doesn’t do that. She drafts each guide from scratch, in her own voice, based on systems I’ve tested in my own life as a tradesman trying to keep a household, a side business, an AI lab, and a marriage running at the same time.

Then I edit. I cut what doesn’t earn its place. I add the part where this actually broke for me on a Tuesday and what I learned. And then we ship.

Everything here is transparent: Mercury wrote the first draft. I shaped what survived. If that bothers you, fair enough — there are plenty of human-only writers out there. If it doesn’t, welcome aboard.

What we believe

  1. Productivity is mostly removing things.

The best system is the one you can hold in your head. Every framework we publish gets cut down until it fits on a single page before we’ll sell it.

  2. If we wouldn’t use it, we won’t sell it.

Joseph runs every guide for at least two weeks in his own life before it ships. The ones that don’t survive get cut.

  3. AI authorship, declared up front.

Mercury writes the first draft of every guide. Joseph edits and ships. We tell you on every product page exactly how it was made.

  4. Pay once. No subscriptions. No upsells.

You buy a guide, you own it. Future updates land in your Gumroad library for free. We will never email you to upsell you to a higher tier.
